Her interest in physical therapy originated from always being active. She has danced since age 2, and began instructing aerobics classes at age 13. Presently, she enjoys dancing, running, yoga, Pilates, weight-training, and walking. Dyan has a well-rounded background in healthcare and rehabilitation. Her first physical therapy position, which she held for over 4 years, entailed managing the inpatient physical therapy department at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale. In 2000, Dyan established her practice, Get to the Core. She enjoys patient populations ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, and has worked in multiple settings: inpatient, outpatient, dance studios, theatres, homes, and athletic training rooms. She has experience treating all orthopaedic injuries, joint replacements, plantar fasciitis, sciatica, sacroiliac dysfunction, and neurological conditions such as strokes and Parkinson's Disease. Dyan has a special interest in dance rehabilitation, and spinal (core) stabilization. In her free time, Dyan enjoys her family, Marvin, her husband, daughter Sadie, and her Doberman, Penny. Cooking, reading, going the beach, and spending time with friends and family are also her passions. |
