Claire Fleisher Behar

Claire Fleisher Behar is a Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years experience in the healthcare field. Her Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Social Work degrees were obtained from one of Canada ’s top Ivy League Schools, McGill University . She also obtained a Masters Degree in Social Work at Miami ’s prestigious Barry University .

Claire is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and is proficient in English and French. Her work experience includes both rehabilitative and hospital settings. She has practiced at Montreal ’s Lachine General, South Florida ’s Holy Cross Hospital , Cleveland Clinic Florida Hospital , and North Ridge Medical Center.

Claire has found great satisfaction in continuing her mission to comfort those in need of support and grief counseling, and empowering those faced with the challenges of learning how to adjust, adapt, or overcome unexpected life changes and/or losses. Often, this entails strengthening the client’s family and/or support system through a multidisciplinary approach. Claire’s philosophy stresses a global approach to evaluating the client’s biopsychosocial and spiritual needs, exploring mutual expectations, formulating mutually agreeable and realistic goals, and working towards acceptable closure and new beginnings.

Claire is married to Larry J. Behar, an attorney who is an expert in Immigration Law specializes in facilitating the establishment of foreign businesses to the U.S. The couple is committed to community involvement and in prioritizing every opportunity they have to learn about the world through their travels abroad.
